Description

  • Own standard costing, BOM and routing accuracy, cost roll-ups, revaluations, and manufacturing variance analysis.
  • Analyze product profitability, cost-to-serve, landed costs, and delivered costs, including freight, duties, and tariffs.
  • Define and track cost-savings, productivity, gross-margin, unit-cost, and production-line KPIs.
  • Partner with Operations and Procurement on cost reduction, vendor pricing, make-versus-buy analysis, supplier negotiations, and investment decisions.
  • Manage inventory accounting, cycle counts, excess and obsolete reserves, physical inventory counts, and physical-to-book reconciliations.
  • Provide financial support for demand and supply planning, production forecasts, inventory planning, sourcing, safety stock, and lead-time decisions.
  • Support financial close and ensure accurate COGS, inventory, margin, fixed-asset, and inventory-revaluation accounting under U.S. GAAP.
  • Develop internal controls and automate manufacturing, cost, and logistics reporting and dashboards.
  • Contribute requirements to the NetSuite implementation and manage cost-related master data, including items, BOMs, routings, cost centers, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive cost and manufacturing accounting experience, ideally in equipment or industrial manufacturing.
  • CPA or CMA preferred, or equivalent technical accounting expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, BOM and routing structures, and manufacturing variance analysis.
  • Experience with a full-cycle ERP implementation; NetSuite familiarity is desirable.
  • Experience improving and automating reporting and managing master-data governance, quality, and consistency.
  • Strong analytical ability with large operational and cost datasets and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence Operations, Procurement, and Accounting stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organization, collaboration, and strategic problem-solving skills; comfortable working on the shop floor and with senior leadership.
