Description

  • Supervise the daily work of assigned Revenue Services teams, including Revenue Specialists and Account Managers.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for claim-processing roadblocks and client issues.
  • Partner with managers to set and communicate daily task priorities for the team.
  • Prepare performance evaluations and account reviews with the Department Leader.
  • Analyze claim payments using proprietary systems and tools to verify reimbursement compliance.
  • Research, request, and submit supporting records and documentation needed for claim reimbursement and appeals.
  • Manage communication with external clients regarding access, document requests, payment research, training, and related issues.
  • Create, review, and maintain external client reports and participate in internal and external meetings to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Conduct follow-up with insurance companies to secure proper reimbursement and prepare initial bill packets or appeal letters.
  • Support hiring, training, mentoring, performance management, quality control, and corrective action for staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in healthcare billing or collections.
  • 5 years of client-facing or customer service experience.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience with workers’ compensation billing and collections preferred.
  • Intermediate understanding of insurance payer/provider claims processing and related data requirements.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and handle stress in a fast-paced environment.
