Description

  • Open and close the location, deploy the team, and keep daily operations moving to Saltbox standard.
  • Own the operational readiness of the building, including cleanliness, safety, member-facing spaces, equipment checks, and vendor coordination.
  • Direct the team in real time by setting shift expectations, assigning tasks, and holding the standard.
  • Give immediate feedback and coaching to address issues before they become recurring problems.
  • Train new team members and ensure they reach the expected level of capability before working independently.
  • Serve as the first point of support for the team on day-to-day questions, blockers, and judgment calls.
  • Engage with members daily by answering questions, solving problems, and escalating issues when needed.
  • Conduct tours and support new member onboarding, service setup, and early adoption.
  • Use operational tools and reporting to audit output, track service execution, and identify performance gaps.
  • Monitor demand versus capacity, identify inefficiencies, and support hiring, training, and staffing decisions.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience leading a team in an operations, retail, hospitality, warehouse, or similar environment.
  • Experience in warehousing, fulfillment, retail, or a similar environment.
  • A leadership mindset and comfort running a shift in a hands-on role.
  • Strong communication skills, including giving direct feedback and keeping leadership informed.
  • Comfort with physical, hands-on work and being on the floor every day.
  • Ability to switch quickly between operational tasks and member-facing work.
  • Comfortable with or willing to learn tools such as Slack, Parsel, Shopify, or shipping platforms.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with reasonable accommodation.
