Description

  • Work within a service squad to design, build, test, and run components that drive pricing and charging.
  • Develop APIs and real-time data processing applications on top of the Apache Kafka ecosystem.
  • Build scalable and reliable streaming-based services for data processing.
  • Contribute to core telecommunications functions such as automated product lifecycle management.
  • Architect and design components to run on AWS in a scalable fashion.
  • Deploy and operate applications using CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins and Terraform.
  • Monitor and support production services using observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Collaborate with the team on cloud-based backend systems in a data-driven environment.

Requirements

  • Experience delivering software across the full engineering lifecycle from proof of concept to production.
  • Strong experience with JVM-based languages, preferably Scala.
  • Hands-on experience with stream or data processing platforms such as Kafka Streams, Spark/Glue, and/or Flink.
  • Experience designing one or more complex APIs and contributing to complex production systems.
  • Proven experience building and deploying solutions in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
  • Experience using Infrastructure as Code approaches.
  • Experience working with relational databases.
  • Interest in telecommunications, Internet of Things, network protocols, and SDN is a plus.
  • Experience contributing to components built with Node.js and TypeScript is a plus.
  • Experience working in agile development teams is a plus.
  • Contributions to open-source projects are a plus.
  • Relevant AWS certification is a plus.
