Description

  • Own high-impact search and data projects end-to-end, from idea and scoping through launch and iteration.
  • Design, build, and optimize large-scale data products tied to search systems.
  • Improve search accuracy, speed, scalability, ranking, and relevance across production products.
  • Build and operate a creator search engine indexing hundreds of millions of influencer profiles and billions of media files.
  • Develop systems for advanced filtering, semantic search, vector search, and relevance scoring.
  • Create indexing and querying pipelines that serve millions of low-latency requests.
  • Generate and use embeddings from images, videos, text, and audio at scale.
  • Deploy ML models and LLM-powered features into production.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Core, Data Insights, and other product teams to ship impactful features.
  • Partner with the CEO, CTO, engineers, sales, and customers to shape product direction.

Requirements

  • Solid experience as a Data Engineer or Backend Engineer working with large-scale data products.
  • Proven experience building full products from concept to production, including scoping, architecture, implementation, release, and iteration.
  • Strong system design skills in large-scale, high-volume environments.
  • Hands-on experience building agentic or LLM-powered features in production.
  • Practical understanding of trade-offs between LLM cost, latency, and capability.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as SageMaker, Glue, Kinesis, SQS, Lambda, and ECS.
  • Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work autonomously and gather requirements for complex projects.
  • Experience in fast-paced startup environments.
  • Based in Europe with some overlap with GMT+3.
  • Bonus: experience with multimodal embeddings across image, video, text, and audio.
  • Bonus: experience with vector search, embeddings, semantic search, and ranking algorithms.
  • Bonus: hands-on AI/ML experience, including deploying or self-hosting models and/or working with GPU infrastructure.
  • Bonus: strong care for code quality and best practices.
  • Bonus: curiosity about the creator economy.
