Description

  • Lead machine learning projects end to end, from task definition through solution design, testing, production deployment, and ongoing support.
  • Work with data engineers to define dataset needs and data requirements, and assess feasibility, risks, and limitations.
  • Participate with data analysts in A/B test design and analysis, including metrics selection, split design, result interpretation, and rollout recommendations.
  • Develop and train classic machine learning and deep learning models, including solutions for text and image embeddings.
  • Perform offline evaluation and error analysis for models before and after deployment.
  • Transfer model code into production as a Python service and support releases and integrations.
  • Own post-launch model quality, including metrics, monitoring, drift and degradation detection, and improvement planning.
  • Support compliance and operational requirements for model monitoring and maintenance.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist.
  • Experience managing end-to-end ML projects in production, from setup through support.
  • Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, including fine-tuning principles and model inference.
  • Production-quality Python development skills, including readable code, tests for critical components, and model/artifact packaging for service integration.
  • Understanding of ML monitoring, including quality metrics, drift, alerts, diagnostics, and support regulations.
  • Strong SQL skills for independent dataset assembly, including joins and window functions.
  • Experience with model interpretability and error analysis.
  • Experience with experiment tracking tools such as MLflow, Weights & Biases, or DVC.
  • Familiarity with classic ML algorithms and basic ranking approaches such as pointwise and pairwise methods; time series experience is a plus.
  • Conversational English.
