Description

  • Design and implement complex workflows and APIs.
  • Write scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Translate software requirements into stable, high-performance, high-availability software.
  • Participate in architectural and design decisions.
  • Build toward an efficient microservices-based distributed architecture.
  • Collaborate across a heterogeneous tech stack, using Go alongside other languages and frameworks.

Requirements

  • Good understanding of Golang programming language, paradigms, constructs, and idioms.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming, including common quirks and workarounds.
  • Knowledge of common Goroutine and channel patterns.
  • Experience in low-latency, high-performance software design.
  • Experience with Golang vendor package management tools such as Glide and dep.
  • Experience with ORM tools such as Gorm.
  • Understanding of unit testing and performance testing.
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as Ginkgo.
  • Experience with Golang templating language.
  • Ability to write clean and effective Godoc comments.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
  • Experience building APIs using the latest standards is an advantage.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Ember, Angular, or React is an advantage.
  • Experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails is an advantage.
  • Experience with Redis is an advantage.
  • Experience with RabbitMQ or other message brokers is an advantage.
  • OpenSSL, mod_security, and general security knowledge are an advantage.
  • Linux and DevOps skills with AWS, Puppet, Chef, or Ansible are an advantage.
  • Previous experience in the payment industry is an advantage.
