Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services with Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Build REST APIs and event-driven services in a serverless AWS architecture.
  • Contribute to distributed-system architecture, solution design, technical decisions, and documentation.
  • Manage integrations and dependencies with engineering teams and external partners.
  • Develop and maintain unit, integration, and system tests.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code and improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering processes.
  • Participate in threat modeling and build secure, resilient services.
  • Own production reliability through on-call participation, incident investigation, root-cause analysis, and hotfixes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and engineering practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of commercial Node.js backend development experience.
  • Strong hands-on TypeScript experience.
  • Experience building distributed and event-driven systems, including messaging technologies such as Kafka.
  • Practical AWS experience with Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, EventBridge, DynamoDB, and S3.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform or AWS CDK.
  • Understanding and practical application of software design patterns and clean architecture.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs and using OpenAPI.
  • Strong unit and integration testing experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, ownership, independence, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Fluent English; experience with monorepos, MySQL, Prisma, NoSQL databases, or banking and fintech domains is preferred.
