Description

  • Apply systems engineering principles across the full system lifecycle, including concept, development, production, utilization, support, and retirement.
  • Design integration patterns and define API contracts with partner systems.
  • Lead technical discussions in cross-program meetings and coordinate with government and program stakeholders.
  • Translate operational needs into technical requirements and present capabilities to mixed audiences.
  • Document integration architecture and write customer-facing technical guides.
  • Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work products and deliverables.
  • Work across ISO/IEC 15288 process areas, including requirements, architecture, integration, verification, validation, risk, configuration, and information management.
  • Collaborate with users, analysts, partner programs, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Assess analytics architecture and support AI/ML feature integration for analyst workflows.
  • Support technical problem-solving related to systems engineering issues, conflicts, and decisions.

Requirements

  • Current Poly clearance is required.
  • 14+ years of experience as a systems engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus 4 years of systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with system architecture leadership and integration design.
  • Experience interfacing with users, analysts, partner programs, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to document technical solutions and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Nice-to-have familiarity with Java/Spring Boot and the ability to read code and collaborate with backend teams.
  • Nice-to-have experience with integration platforms such as NiFi, Camel, and messaging systems.
  • Nice-to-have GraphQL or REST API design experience.
  • Nice-to-have understanding of data modeling trade-offs, including relational, search index, and graph approaches.
  • Strong differentiators include SIGINT/RF analyst background, UTT processes, targeting workflows, multi-INT correlation tradecraft, data science/analytics architecture experience, and AI/ML systems design experience.
