Description

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts based on requirements, specifications, and test plans.
  • Create and update automated tests for new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and existing functionality.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and manual testing as needed.
  • Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test scenarios.
  • Document, report, and retest software defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
  • Investigate test failures and troubleshoot basic automation, test data, and environment issues under senior guidance.
  • Collaborate with developers and project stakeholders to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows and maintain reusable test components.
  • Maintain test documentation, results, scripts, and defect reports.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and recommend improvements to test coverage and automation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology, or an associate degree plus 2 years of experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience in software testing, QA, test automation, or application development; internships, academic projects, and practical training may qualify.
  • Foundational programming knowledge in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or another scripting language.
  • Understanding of test cases, test execution, defect reporting, and regression testing.
  • Ability to read, write, and troubleshoot basic automated test scripts.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles and Agile practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Must live in the continental United States and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
  • Ability to complete a background check and, if required, obtain a Public Trust designation or security clearance.
  • Preferred: exposure to Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Postman, SQL, Git, CI/CD tools, Jira or Azure DevOps, web applications, REST APIs, and client-server architecture.
  • Preferred: experience in government contracting, healthcare/CMS, or health industry projects; HUBZone residents are encouraged to apply.
