Description

  • Implement and execute tests across planned test levels, then log, evaluate, and document deviations from expected results.
  • Use test administration, monitoring, and management tools.
  • Create, validate, and update test documentation such as test cases and test plans.
  • Review, analyze, and assess project requirements and specifications and translate them into quality control artifacts.
  • Review test artifacts developed by other team members.
  • Prepare and acquire test data for testing activities.
  • Contribute to the overall project quality assurance process.
  • Analyze, improve, and establish the test process on the project.
  • Analyze coverage for the project test basis and define relevant project metrics.
  • Define, prioritize, and estimate required testing efforts, including defect and test-case handling processes.
  • Define appropriate testware and test environments for the project.
  • Teach and mentor other test engineers.
  • Measure performance of components and systems when applicable.
  • Automate testing whenever applicable with support from a test automation expert.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, QA Tester, or in a similar manual testing role.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Experience testing database migrations, schema changes, and stored procedures.
  • Experience with data validation techniques such as row counts, checksums, and before/after comparisons.
  • Understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Experience with at least one RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Experience designing test cases for data-centric scenarios, including edge cases, nulls, duplicates, and referential integrity.
  • Experience with regression testing for database-dependent applications.
  • Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, or Azure Test Plans.
  • Experience with bug tracking in Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with version control using Git.
  • Comfort reading and writing scripts for data comparison.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how database changes are deployed, such as through Azure DevOps.
  • Basic knowledge of GRN/production release processes if relevant to the environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Upper-Intermediate English level.
  • Excellent communication skills for documenting and communicating defects, test results, and quality findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Initiative, proactivity, and adaptability to project changes.
