Description

  • Lead technical initiatives to automate network engineering efforts and improve global infrastructure reliability.
  • Develop and maintain software, codebases, tooling, and automations to support platform growth and scaling demands.
  • Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners in an inclusive, operationally focused environment.
  • Prevent repeated customer impact by responding to major incidents and supporting prioritized problem management.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and handle complex customer concerns.
  • Contribute to coding, technical design, solution development, resilience improvements, and security prioritization.
  • Support the design and improvement of distributed network services across multiple cloud provider platforms.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with product success delivering cloud network solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers as an authority in identifying, implementing, and delivering solutions.
  • Experience with public cloud environments is advantageous.
  • Experience with Go and managed Kubernetes services is advantageous.
  • Experience working in distributed teams or remotely is desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in inclusive, partner- and team-building ways.
  • Customer-first approach to solving operational problems for both current and future needs.
  • Experience designing and building SaaS products in public cloud environments, ideally using Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Crossplane or Terraform.
  • Experience building Kubernetes-at-scale infrastructure across multiple cloud providers and the automation to support it.
  • Experience writing product features or functions in Golang or other programming languages.
  • Experience with containerized services such as Docker.
  • Experience leading and improving cross-team engineering initiatives.
  • Experience with Linux system administration on distributed systems at scale.
  • Experience diagnosing, designing, implementing, or creating solutions with the Elastic Stack.
  • Experience in a self-organizing, globally distributed team environment.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience to help strengthen team members.
