Description

  • Lead the IT GenAI roadmap and evolve ElasticGPT from a conversational assistant into a task-oriented agent.
  • Design agentic and deterministic workflows to automate enterprise productivity across Elastic.
  • Architect hybrid retrieval and production RAG systems using structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines from Confluence, Jira, GitHub, and ServiceNow.
  • Oversee model lifecycle activities from fine-tuning through deployment of scalable APIs on Kubernetes.
  • Manage token efficiency, latency, cost, tracing, and evaluation pipelines for GenAI systems.
  • Design LLM gateway architectures for multi-model routing, fallback, spend control, and governance.
  • Define multi-agent patterns, state management, tool contracts, and handoff logic for enterprise workflows.
  • Design agents with retries, scoped permissions, audit trails, and other reliability safeguards.

Requirements

  • Experience building and operating production-grade GenAI systems under constraints of scale, cost, latency, and enterprise governance.
  • Proven track record of building production-grade agents and RAG systems using frameworks like LangGraph or LangSmith.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
  • Deep experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
  • Deep knowledge of Elasticsearch, including ESRE, vector indexing (HNSW), and relevance tuning.
  • Extensive experience with Kubernetes and high-concurrency cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience working across major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Working knowledge of LLM gateway patterns, multi-model environments, and related trade-offs.
  • Understanding of MCPs and modern agent tool-discovery patterns.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience developing generative AI, NLP, or computer vision models.
  • Experience with Docker, DevOps practices, and cloud deployment automation.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to Ethical AI and responsible development practices.

  • Base salary of $94,300-$149,200 USD, or $113,300-$179,200 USD in select locations.
