Description

  • Lead delivery engagements for public sector customers while building strategic relationships at senior government levels.
  • Own the strategic roadmap with customers and facilitate quarterly strategic sessions with senior stakeholders.
  • Design, develop, and integrate Elastic products and APIs in mission-critical environments.
  • Develop demos and proof-of-concepts that demonstrate the value of the Elastic Stack.
  • Perform data modeling, query development, optimization, cluster tuning, and scaling for search and analytics at scale.
  • Collaborate with Elastic engineering, product management, and support teams to identify feature enhancements and extensions.
  • Work closely with the Elastic Sales team to scope opportunities and assess technical risks and concerns.
  • Support customer goals and strategic requirements by working across the broader Elastic organization.
  • Solve complex customer data problems and help customers navigate their journey with Elastic.
  • Be prepared to work onsite frequently with customers and travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Current UK security clearance, or previous security clearance, or willingness to undergo security clearance.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, System Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Consultant delivering professional services engagements.
  • Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and/or Lucene.
  • Experience as a technical instructor or public speaker to large audiences on enterprise infrastructure software technology.
  • Ability to work directly with customers to gather, prioritize, plan, and execute solutions to business requirements.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language and a strong interest in open-source technology.
  • Hands-on experience with large distributed systems from an architecture and development perspective.
  • Knowledge of information retrieval and/or analytics domains.
  • Understanding of Linux, Java, and databases.
  • Deep understanding of Elasticsearch and Lucene, including Elastic Certified Engineer certification (preferred).
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of Java and a Linux/Unix environment, software development, or distributed systems (preferred).
  • Experience with delivering and/or developing product training (preferred).
  • Experience contributing to an open-source project or documentation (preferred).
