Description

  • Design, code, test, and debug software applications according to coding standards and best practices.
  • Develop backend components and APIs with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
  • Contribute to front-end development when needed.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, the finance team, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications and architectural designs.
  • Provide input on feasibility and technical approaches for new features and improvements.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and consistency.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, design documents, and user guides.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of software components and successful product releases.
  • Develop and execute unit, integration, and performance tests, and help implement automated testing frameworks.
  • Use version control systems to manage and track source code changes.
  • Stay current with industry trends and propose process improvements to increase development efficiency and product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications.
  • Proficiency in Python, Ruby, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and similar software development methodologies.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience with back-end frameworks and technologies such as FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Rails.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Next.js is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and be based in the United States.
