Description

  • Define and govern enterprise BI architecture and data models, including dimensional models, conformed dimensions, standardized KPI logic, and a governed semantic layer.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing enterprise analytics team while setting priorities aligned to business objectives.
  • Integrate ERP and operational systems into a unified data environment through ELT processes, historical tracking, and data quality controls.
  • Reconcile transactional data to published financial reporting and safeguard data integrity across core platforms.
  • Design and deliver executive and operational dashboards and analytical models covering margin, working capital, inventory, throughput, and cost drivers.
  • Automate recurring management and board reporting to improve visibility and reduce manual reporting.
  • Establish and maintain standardized KPI dictionaries and reporting definitions across business units.
  • Strengthen data governance through coding standards, documentation protocols, validation controls, and review processes.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions and provide structured decision support to Finance, Operations, and IT leadership.
  • Support acquisition-ready analytics architecture and broader enterprise growth initiatives.

Requirements

  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data architecture roles.
  • 2+ years of team leadership responsibility.
  • BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • Advanced SQL and data modeling expertise.
  • Experience with ERP-integrated reporting environments; JD Edwards E1 preferred.
  • Experience with data warehousing platforms such as Snowflake or Azure Synapse.
  • Experience with Power BI or comparable enterprise visualization tools.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating ERP and operational data into governed reporting environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial statements and operational performance metrics.
  • Strong executive communication skills.
  • Ability to balance governance with speed in mid-market environments.
  • Comfort working hands-on without large supporting infrastructure.
  • Must be able to work Eastern Time hours.
  • 100% remote with 50% travel; East Coast residency preferred.
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. with no sponsorship available.
  • Open to a contract assignment for the right candidate.
