Description

  • Develop product features on a modern software stack that includes Kotlin, Spring Boot, Scala, and Play.
  • Build and maintain REST API and GraphQL endpoints for working with large private and public datasets.
  • Collaborate with product, design, data engineering, and front-end teams to turn customer needs into complete product solutions.
  • Design systems and engineering approaches with a focus on long-term maintainability, scalability, and performance.
  • Write tests and contribute to reliable, well-structured backend systems.
  • Use SQL and database/backend knowledge to support complex, data-driven product workflows.
  • Help create transparent analytics experiences for consumer lending, mortgages, and other asset classes.
  • Contribute to new technologies and evolving open source tooling as customer needs change.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of engineering experience with strong fundamentals.
  • Extensive experience architecting data-driven products with complex workflows.
  • Strong SQL skills.
  • Deep understanding of databases and backend systems.
  • Experience building systems with scalability, performance, and maintainability in mind.
  • Ability to evaluate engineering approaches and design for long-term maintainability.
  • Curiosity and interest in learning financial concepts and structured products.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts, specifically structured products, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Google BigQuery, and Kubernetes is preferred.
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools like Spark, R, or Pandas is preferred.
  • Familiarity with React, Redux, and Node.js is preferred.
