Description

  • Develop and communicate a LATAM partnership strategy informed by market insights and regional dynamics, with a focus on Mexico and Brazil
  • Manage existing partnerships and the regional pipeline across verticals such as app stores, telcos, media & entertainment, banks, public institutions, and payment providers
  • Source and expand Duolingo’s partnership portfolio by identifying new opportunities with measurable impact on key business metrics
  • Build compelling, quantitative business cases to support strategic partnership investments
  • Negotiate, finalize, and implement partnership agreements across user growth, brand, and monetization initiatives
  • Collaborate with global and local Marketing to plan and amplify partnership launches and brand partnerships
  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to influence and deliver product integrations required for successful partnership execution
  • Track partnership performance and coordinate cross-functional teams to drive results from launch through scale

Requirements

  • 7+ years of business development experience with a track record of developing partnerships in digital consumer (B2C) technology
  • Experience in consulting, banking, or business development roles
  • Proven experience managing partnerships through full cycles: deal sourcing, business case development, negotiation, implementation, and measurement
  • Deep cultural knowledge and immersion in the LATAM landscape and an existing regional network to launch impactful partnerships
  • Track record of building long-term external relationships and collaborating with internal teams to drive ideas to execution
  • Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving with the ability to create and communicate data-driven narratives
  • Proficiency in Spanish and excellent English speaking and writing skills
  • Ability to travel internationally frequently, including to New York City, Pittsburgh (HQ), and across LATAM
  • (Preferred) Experience with mobile apps and subscription-based services
  • (Preferred) Experience living and working in multiple LATAM markets, working proficiency in Portuguese, and/or an MBA or equivalent experience from a reputable university
