Description

  • Provide high-performance, mission-critical support for proprietary trading systems.
  • Maintain a healthy trading environment and deliver on-the-floor technical support.
  • Work on longer-term engineering projects with traders, researchers, and developers.
  • Build scalable, efficient, performant, and clean systems and workflows that support trading profitability.
  • Establish best-in-class production support, software deployment, configuration, and proactive monitoring processes.
  • Anticipate, prevent, troubleshoot, and recover from production incidents quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Develop or support automation and monitoring tools, including third-party technologies where appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot time-critical incidents caused by internal systems or external factors such as markets, data feeds, and telecom lines.
  • Coordinate with operations, business liaisons, infrastructure teams, and external parties such as exchanges and brokers.
  • Collaborate across APAC, European, and U.S. option trading teams to ensure continuity of 24x7 support.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in trade support, site reliability engineering, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, ideally computer engineering-related.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and common network troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for audiences with varying backgrounds.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations while working with traders, developers, and other engineering teams.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
  • Knowledge of database usage, including SQL, NoSQL, and Postgres.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
  • Experience with distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of modern DevOps and CI/CD.
  • Experience using and/or building RESTful web services.
  • Experience with web development technologies such as JavaScript, React.js, Vue, and CSS3.
