Description

  • Build the enterprise talent management roadmap in partnership with HR business partners and coordinate recurring and new talent initiatives.
  • Leverage internal and external research, creativity, and AI and technology developments to drive experimentation and new approaches.
  • Apply design thinking to improve talent management programs and develop both high-level proposals and detailed program designs.
  • Lead talent management projects from planning through delivery, including detailed project planning and execution with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Build collaborative relationships with partners across People/HR, the VP of L&OD, the Director of Learning, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Drive execution in a distributed work environment by influencing alignment and managing cross-functional partnerships.
  • Use change management approaches to drive understanding and action among leaders, managers, and employees.
  • Partner with the People Technology team to improve process effectiveness through tool enhancements and new AI capabilities.
  • Work with People Analytics to measure program effectiveness, analyze talent trends, and define a cohesive measurement approach.
  • Own people management for direct reports, including onboarding, performance management, growth planning, coaching, mentoring, and feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required.
  • 8+ years of experience in talent management or organizational development at a global, dynamic company and/or leading management consulting firm.
  • Minimum 2 years of direct people management experience.
  • Experience with performance management and broader talent areas such as talent reviews, succession planning, workforce planning, career frameworks and pathways, skills inventories, and internal mobility, ideally within Workday.
  • Strong critical-thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Consultative, data-driven approach to solving complex problems.
  • Ability to balance big-picture strategic planning with detailed program execution.
  • Deep project management and execution experience with exceptional attention to detail and data skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong executive presence and ability to present complex analysis and recommendations clearly.
  • Experience with talent management tools and Workday, and frequent use of AI to scale productivity and improve workflows.
  • Ability to treat employee experience as a product, applying product management and design thinking to understand needs, prototype solutions, and iterate using data.
  • Strong MS Excel and GSuite skills, including GSheets and Google Slides.
  • Advanced degree such as an M.A. in Organization Behavior or Psychology is a plus.
  • Strong experience running talent processes, especially performance management, across multiple years and multiple companies is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with performance management in Workday and Tableau is preferred.
  • SaaS/Tech industry experience is preferred.
  • Comfort and familiarity using AI tools in the flow of work is strongly preferred.

Benefits

  • Canada pay range of $155,600 to $210,400 CAD.
