Description

  • Partner closely with business teams, especially sales and channel, finance, product, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Handle complex commercial deals and support company initiatives through collaborative legal work.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of commercial legal support.
  • Work with LegalOps to increase process automation, legal technology adoption, and other efficiencies.
  • Manage, lead, and mentor EMEA-based commercial legal team members.
  • Serve as a trusted leader and problem solver for stakeholders across the company.
  • Support EMEA-specific procurement deal work and related legal processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years as a practicing commercial attorney.
  • Substantive experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, technology, equipment, and marketing agreements.
  • Working understanding of EMEA regulatory requirements, including GDPR, DORA, TUPE, and the EU AI Act.
  • Experience partnering with globally distributed in-house business teams, particularly sales and channel teams, at a SaaS company.
  • Experience handling a high volume of complex commercial transactions.
  • At least 1 year of people management and leadership experience in an in-house legal environment.
  • Familiarity with procurement legal systems and tools, plus experience developing or improving procurement legal processes and procedures.
  • Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, simple guidance and partner effectively across all levels of the company.
  • J.D. with strong academic credentials and a demonstrated record of success as a lawyer.
  • Member in good standing of the bar, with in-house counsel registration if applicable.
  • Preferred: strong record of being embedded with sales and channel partner teams in day-to-day deal work and operations.
  • Preferred: direct experience implementing new sales and channel partner processes to drive efficiencies and self-service.
  • Preferred: experience with procurement-facing agreements, M&A integration and support, and commercial disputes.

Benefits

  • United Kingdom pay range of £125,800 to £170,200 GBP.
  • Ireland pay range of €119,900 to €162,200 EUR.
