Description

  • Lead and oversee live testing for transport, deployment, and safety validation.
  • Partner with hardware, software, and business operations teams to validate new product capabilities.
  • Conduct and document complex tests of autonomous technologies, including robot behavior evaluation and feature validation.
  • Assess operational risk, distinguish expected behavior from product defects, and decide when escalation or additional validation is needed.
  • Develop and implement testing processes, protocols, and checklists to improve safety, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Use internal tools to analyze logs, investigate issues, document findings, and track issues through resolution.
  • Mentor junior team members in structured debugging, documentation, and operational practices.
  • Generate detailed reports that summarize findings, identify trends, and recommend actions to engineering and operations partners.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience, or a strong demonstrated background, in autonomous vehicle, robotics, or complex systems testing in a live operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system behaviors and make sound technical judgments in dynamic real-world scenarios.
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams to investigate issues and communicate technical findings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting findings and presenting recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience using Linux, GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, or similar tools to investigate issues and track work through resolution.
  • Demonstrated ownership, leadership, and ability to mentor junior team members.
  • Comfort working in ambiguous environments where processes are evolving.
  • Experience with autonomous vehicle or robotics testing is preferred.
