Description

Manage the closing process for home equity investment transactions and ensure all documents are accurately prepared.
Serve as a point of contact for homeowners during closing, providing updates and addressing questions or concerns.
Communicate proactively with production teammates, escrow agents, title agents, and other stakeholders throughout the closing process.
Coordinate with settlement agents to prepare final Closing Disclosures and confirm charges and tolerances are correct.
Work with title companies to organize notary appointments.
Prepare files for funding by reviewing executed documents for completeness.
Review funding documents, set up wires, and communicate with the title company to ensure timely and accurate disbursements.
Provide coverage for teammates who are out of office and support the team when the Closing Manager is out.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to improve closing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

2+ years of operations experience in Financial Services, Real Estate, or Mortgage.
Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to navigate complex closing scenarios through problem-solving and decision-making.
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to documentation and process adherence.
Excellent communication skills, including active listening and empathetic homeowner communication.
Ability to collaborate with internal teams, third-party vendors, and homeowners.
In-depth knowledge of mortgage regulatory requirements and compliance standards such as TRID, TILA, RESPA, and REG Z preferred.
Ability to work 8am - 5pm PST.
Desire to participate in a fast-paced early-stage startup.
Adaptability and a team-oriented mindset with a focus on collaboration and teammate support.
