Description

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for fiber optic, OSP, ISP, MDU, and telephone exchange projects.
  • Prepare and submit bid documents, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
  • Analyze drawings, field notes, and technical specifications to support estimating work.
  • Develop cost models for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes and identify risks and value opportunities.
  • Support the handoff of projects to construction and operations teams after award.
  • Validate budgets, costs, and change orders during project execution.
  • Work closely with construction teams to connect office estimates with field execution.

Requirements

  • 3 to 7+ years of experience in telecommunications cost estimating, construction cost estimating, or a related field.
  • Advanced English proficiency at B2+ or C1 level.
  • Solid knowledge of telecommunications construction, including fiber optic networks and OSP/ISP installation methods.
  • Experience preparing bid packages and supporting construction teams post-award.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for cost modeling.
  • Solid understanding of labor productivity rates and construction workflows.
  • Experience with FTTH, fiber backbone, small cell, or MDU deployments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with permitting, preparation, and utility coordination processes is preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as the National Electrical Safety Code is preferred.
  • Experience working closely with construction teams in the field, or as a former field engineer or project manager, is preferred.
  • Familiarity with estimating software, GIS tools, or telecommunications design platforms is preferred.

Benefits

  • $2,200 to $2,800 monthly salary.
  • 100% remote work arrangement.
  • Full-time role with a Monday to Friday schedule, 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
