Description

  • Lead development of highly visible, user-facing safety products.
  • Design, build, and deploy production APIs, backend services, and data pipelines for safety features at scale.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Policy, Data Science, ML, Legal, and Trust & Safety Operations teams.
  • Improve internal tooling to support Trust & Safety workflows.
  • Respond to evolving abuse, safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Lead complex projects from ambiguous requirements through stakeholder alignment and coordinated rollout.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and test complex systems in production.
  • Use metrics and dashboards to guide decisions and create reports.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience writing Python and using backend API frameworks such as Flask or Django.
  • 5+ years of experience building frontend interfaces with JavaScript, React, and TypeScript for web and mobile platforms.
  • Familiarity with Cassandra, Postgres, and ScyllaDB.
  • Experience leading end-to-end delivery of complex projects.
  • Strong production troubleshooting, debugging, and testing skills.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
  • Experience using metrics and dashboards for data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in safety or anti-abuse domains (preferred).
  • Experience with Datadog, Mode, Kafka, Pub/Sub, offline analytics, or mobile development on iOS and Android (preferred).
  • Exposure to Go, Rust, or Elixir and a strong commitment to protecting users (preferred).
