Description

  • Build, implement, and polish UI features and systems using Unreal Engine, UMG, and Blueprints.
  • Own UI animation, including motion design, transitions, reactive states, and overall feel from concept through final implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers, UI artists, and engineers to move features from specification to shipping.
  • Diagnose and resolve UI performance issues and help reduce technical debt in existing systems.
  • Create and maintain reusable UI components and documentation for other designers to use.
  • Iterate quickly based on feedback from leads and QA to ship quality UI on a live-service cadence.

Requirements

  • Professional experience implementing UI in a shipped game using Unreal Engine, UMG, and Blueprints or an equivalent engine.
  • Strong animation sensibility with understanding of timing, easing, and motion hierarchy, and the ability to implement it directly.
  • Experience with visual scripting languages such as Blueprints, Lua, or equivalent.
  • Comfortable reading and acting on feedback from leads, UX, and QA.
  • Portfolio or reel demonstrating shipped UI work, with emphasis on implementation quality over concept art.
  • Experience on a live-service title with frequent content updates is preferred.
  • Familiarity with view models or data-driven UI architecture is preferred.
  • Experience with 3D packages such as Maya or 3ds Max for asset prep is preferred.
  • Exposure to performance profiling and GPU/CPU cost awareness for UI is preferred.
