Description

  • Lead art direction for pitches and flagship projects, maintaining high standards for design, typography, and composition.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level Art Directors and Designers through specific, craft-focused feedback.
  • Own the visual narrative and cohesive look and feel across film, digital, social, and physical campaign experiences.
  • Direct visual production, including photographer and director selection, color grading, retouching, and motion design.
  • Present design systems and art direction to clients, explaining the strategic rationale behind visual decisions.
  • Partner with Creative leadership to improve workflows, establish quality standards, and evaluate emerging tools and AI technologies.
  • Foster an inclusive culture centered on experimentation, shared learning, and visual excellence.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of art direction or design experience in a creative agency, high-growth brand environment, or related field.
  • Demonstrated mastery of art direction, layout, typography, and integrated visual storytelling across platforms.
  • Experience leading small teams or overseeing freelancers and junior creatives.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience with motion design or AI image generation.
  • Ability to align visual choices, including color palette and casting, with business goals and brand identity.
  • Ability to communicate complex visual concepts clearly to clients and non-visual stakeholders.
  • Authorization to work in the United States; DEPT® participates in E-Verify.
