Description

  • Establish and drive the product design vision, UX strategy, and visual standards across the enterprise product suite.
  • Develop design paradigms for AI-native workflows, complex data visualizations, and decision-support systems.
  • Champion user-centered design practices and rigorous usability testing for complex enterprise workflows.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data leadership to align architecture and roadmaps with user needs.
  • Build, mentor, and scale design teams across UI/UX, user research, design systems, and AI design.
  • Lead design strategy for mission-critical software used in government and industrial environments.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • 10–15 years of experience leading design teams in complex software environments, including 5+ years in executive design leadership.
  • Leadership experience with AI-native platforms, complex analytics, or enterprise SaaS applications.
  • Experience partnering with Product, Engineering, and Data Science executives.
  • Deep expertise in HCI, user research methodologies, and complex workflow optimization.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
  • Current U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one with sponsorship preferred.
  • Experience transitioning design functions to an AI-native software development lifecycle preferred.
  • Experience with defense, government, public-sector, supply-chain, logistics, or industrial operations platforms preferred.
  • Ability to work from an Air office in Arlington, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, or elsewhere in the U.S., with up to 25% travel.
