Description

  • Lead annual budget planning, forecasting, and real-time monitoring for complex value-based fee arrangements.
  • Act as the primary financial partner to partners and client stakeholders on budget planning, spend optimization, and fee arrangements.
  • Develop, manage, and report on multi-jurisdictional matter budgets in coordination with the Global Billing Coordinator.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of large cross-border client programs with clear governance and reporting.
  • Coordinate internal lawyers, local counsel, ALSPs, and technology teams across time zones and workstreams.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, scheduling conflicts, and resourcing gaps.
  • Support client relationship management through regular reporting, governance meetings, and materials for partner and executive forums.
  • Prepare communications and presentations for leadership with strategic analysis and insights.
  • Identify, implement, and embed AI-powered and legal technology tools to improve efficiency, quality, and matter management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of financial management, pricing, and legal project management experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or ALSP environment.
  • Deep expertise in legal matter budgeting, AFAs, outside counsel guideline compliance, and/or legal financial reporting.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to prepare and present to senior client and firm leadership.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, CoPilot or similar AI tools, and project management workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-jurisdictional legal budgets with meaningful budget responsibility (preferred).
  • Experience in a dedicated client service or embedded legal operations role (preferred).
  • Exposure to cross-border regulatory, M&A, or commercial matters (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of legal AI platforms such as Harvey, Legora, or comparable tools (preferred).
  • Financial acumen, project leadership, AI fluency, stakeholder management, and data & analytics capability.

Benefits

  • Salary range of US$80,000–US$160,000 gross annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Remuneration and benefits package aligned to the successful candidate’s experience and country of hire.
