Description

  • Oversee and manage the engineering department’s day-to-day work and delivery outcomes.
  • Work directly with development, support, implementation, vendors, clients, and company leadership.
  • Lead the full software development lifecycle for developers and testers in an agile environment.
  • Own the quality, security, and defect-free delivery of technical outputs in the assigned domain.
  • Guide implementation efforts to deliver client solutions efficiently and on time.
  • Mentor technical staff and support continuous improvement and career development.
  • Establish department standards, procedures, and best implementation practices.
  • Evaluate project progress and report results to stakeholders.
  • Participate in hiring, training, performance reviews, corrective actions, and pay reviews for technical personnel.
  • Make technology and business decisions that influence current and future company operations.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience demonstrating engineering leadership and technical competencies.
  • Hands-on experience with Java.
  • Hands-on experience with frontend technologies such as Bootstrap and jQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS.
  • Experience with modular software development, multi-tenant architecture, and highly scalable systems.
  • Strong understanding of Docker containers, Kubernetes cluster management and orchestration, microservice architectures, and DevOps practices and tooling.
  • Full-stack architecture experience is required.
  • Experience with SQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and complex queries.
  • Knowledge of UML, XML, web services, and design patterns.
  • Prior experience as an Architect is a plus.
  • Team handling or project management experience is preferred.
  • Experience with product development is an advantage.
  • Experience with Salesforce and related services is a strong plus.
  • Background across multiple platforms/domains such as ecommerce, SaaS, and CRM is preferred.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MS/MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build consensus across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to choose the best implementation approach and methodology based on guidelines and best practices.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
