Description

  • Serve as company-wide general counsel covering governance, board matters, entity management, M&A support, and commercial contracting.
  • Lead corporate practice of medicine analysis and MSO/PC structuring across current and future states.
  • Support payer and value-based care contracting, including delegation, credentialing, and data-use terms.
  • Manage payer disputes and coordinate litigation strategy with outside counsel.
  • Build legal processes, including contract templates, intake workflows, approval processes, and regulatory tracking.
  • Advise on healthcare fraud and abuse, licensure, telehealth, scope of practice, fee-splitting, and privacy requirements.
  • Own HIPAA, state privacy, AI governance, employment law, insurance, and intellectual property matters.
  • Select and manage outside counsel while optimizing legal spend and coverage.
  • Advise executives and the board on legal risks related to market entry, products, partnerships, financings, and strategic transactions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of healthtech legal experience, including a JD and admission to the bar.
  • Corporate law background with substantial experience negotiating and structuring value-based care arrangements with health plans.
  • Deep experience with CPOM, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, and MSO/PC structures across multiple states.
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA, state privacy laws, and emerging healthcare AI governance and liability issues.
  • Experience with multi-state employment law for distributed or clinical workforces.
  • Prior Associate General Counsel or senior deputy experience spanning governance, M&A, commercial, and employment matters.
  • Track record of building legal processes and determining when to use in-house or outside counsel.
  • Pragmatic judgment and ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.
  • Basic Life Support certification and compliance with Daymark’s vaccination and testing policy for patient-facing roles.
  • Valid driver’s license required for roles involving in-home patient visits.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $225,000–$260,000 annually, depending on experience.
