Description

  • Develop case strategies and persuasive defense themes for high-stakes litigation.
  • Independently manage cases through discovery, motion practice, depositions, court appearances, briefs, trial preparation, and trial.
  • Communicate routinely with clients and cultivate client relationships.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across experience levels on litigation matters.
  • Provide leadership and direction to less-experienced attorneys.
  • Handle multi-party, high-value consumer and Lemon Law defense litigation.

Requirements

  • JD from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active license with the State Bar of California.
  • 8+ years of litigation experience, including litigation support, depositions, and trial preparation.
  • 5+ years of experience handling Lemon Law defense matters.
  • Experience with Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act, automotive warranty, or complex civil litigation.
  • Ability to manage all facets of discovery and trial with minimal supervision.
  • 2+ years of CRLA, tenant advocacy, or housing litigation experience.
  • 2+ years of general liability defense experience.
  • Insurance defense experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with time management systems and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $160,000–$190,000 annually.
  • Annual billable-hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional $7,500 tiers.

  • 401(k) with 100% match on the first 3% contributed and 50% match on the following 4–5%.
