Description

  • Define and lead independent research agendas on information retrieval for reusable agent components.
  • Conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and benchmark approaches against state-of-the-art methods.
  • Drive research and technical strategy across enterprise retrieval and search, including workspace search and vector search.
  • Develop new retrieval algorithms for large language model systems.
  • Advance the scientific frontier in agent context, information retrieval, knowledge assistants, RAG, and embeddings.
  • Collaborate with researchers and engineers on the Enterprise Agents team to bring scientific expertise into products.
  • Work on agent benchmarks for retrieval, text embeddings, and LLM data quality.
  • Develop methods that improve model capabilities, reliability, and safety.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong foundation in Natural Language Processing and Information Retrieval.
  • Experience developing and implementing methods that extend and improve model capabilities, reliability, and safety.
  • Strong preference for first-author publications at top ML/systems conferences such as EMNLP, ICLR, ACL, and NeurIPS.
  • Preferred focus on optimization or efficiency.
  • Experience with agent benchmarks for retrieval, text embeddings, and LLM data quality.
  • Ability to work on collaborative teams with researchers and engineers.

  • Base salary range of $192,000 to $270,000 USD.
