Description

  • Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executive(s) in the assigned territory.
  • Lead complex customer engagements in a technical pre-sales capacity across the sales lifecycle.
  • Influence stakeholders, including decision-makers and C-level executives, through technical and strategic discussions.
  • Serve as an expert solution architect and trusted advisor for data analytics architecture, design, and platform adoption.
  • Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritization and building technical champions.
  • Work with the wider cloud ecosystem and third-party applications to shape solution strategy.
  • Develop customer-facing collateral and lead workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
  • Represent customer and colleague interests while helping drive Databricks’ technical community engagement.
  • Contribute to long-term customer success by orchestrating teams and relationships.
  • Continue development along one of four tracks: technical specialization, industry vertical thought leadership, strategic customer vision, or people management.

Requirements

  • Experience engaging in complex customer interactions and the sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales role.
  • Ability to influence decision-makers and C-level executives by building relationships and coordinating teams.
  • Prior coding experience in a core programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Willingness to learn a basic level of Spark.
  • Hands-on experience with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs in a competitive environment.
  • Experience working with broader cloud ecosystems and third-party applications (preferred/implicit).
  • Experience coaching or mentoring junior team members (preferred/implicit).

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $219,100 to $301,300 USD for Zone 3.
  • Eligibility for an annual performance bonus.
  • Equity may be included in the total compensation package.
