Description

  • Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executive(s) across a designated territory.
  • Lead complex customer interactions throughout the sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
  • Influence decision-makers and C-level executives through relationship-building and cross-functional orchestration.
  • Act as an expert solution architect and trusted advisor for data analytics architecture, design, and platform adoption.
  • Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritization and building technical champions.
  • Work with the wider cloud ecosystem and third-party applications to support customer engagements.
  • Develop customer-facing collateral and lead workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
  • Contribute to Databricks' technical community engagement and customer education.
  • Support customers by creating customized technical solutions for specialized needs and competitive situations.

Requirements

  • Experience engaging in complex customer interactions and the sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
  • Ability to influence decision-makers and C-level executives and drive long-term customer success.
  • Prior coding experience in a core programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Willingness to learn a base level of Spark.
  • Hands-on experience with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs.
  • Experience navigating a competitive landscape.
  • Location flexibility, as candidates in listed locations are encouraged but applicants in other locations will also be considered.
  • Preferred exposure to technical specialization, industry thought leadership, strategic customer vision, or people management tracks.

  • Zone 3 pay range of $219,100 to $301,300 USD.
