Description

  • Lead customer technical projects by delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, and data ingestion and ML/AI model integrations.
  • Own architecture and lead design decisions to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
  • Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
  • Scope technical delivery work with engagement managers and customer stakeholders.
  • Embed with customer teams to understand technical and business challenges and deliver measurable impact.
  • Work with Databricks engineering, customer support, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagement technical components.
  • Provide product and implementation feedback and help resolve engagement-specific product and support issues quickly.
  • Guide customers on architecture and design and help bootstrap or implement customer projects.
  • Contribute accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that can scale across accounts and influence the product roadmap.
  • Train and support customers so they can successfully evaluate, adopt, and use Databricks solutions.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
  • Proficiency coding in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems among AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark™ and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
  • Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end production data architectures and applications.
  • Experience delivering technical projects, including managing scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
  • Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across a broad stakeholder group.
  • Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn new technologies and support Databricks-based solution deployment and integration.
  • Ability to travel to customers 20% of the time.
  • Databricks Certification.
  • Preferred: experience with customer-facing technical consulting or solution delivery roles.

  • Base salary range of $180,656 to $248,360 USD, depending on location and experience.
