Description

  • Own commercial delivery of services across multiple concurrent customer projects from a project administration and director perspective.
  • Define, scope, manage, and mitigate project risks across engagements.
  • Enforce project reporting, milestone tracking, and financial management for active projects.
  • Coordinate handover from sales to delivery teams with account management and customer stakeholders.
  • Keep relevant stakeholders up to date on project activity, progress, and success.
  • Balance delivery responsibilities with the commercial goals of the professional services organization.
  • Support customer adoption and project outcomes through effective project execution.
  • Work across short-term and multi-month engagements involving single contributors or multi-person teams.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience managing and overseeing big data projects.
  • Experience leading teams of up to 5 people on projects with contract values above $0.5 million.
  • Experience managing enterprise-scale projects with global deployments, ideally in the big data and analytics industry.
  • Experience with industry project management methods, including agile project delivery.
  • PMI, PRINCE, or Agile certification preferred.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to mentor team members to achieve success.
  • Initiative, determination, and a high degree of resourcefulness.
  • Strong commercial focus and experience managing both time-and-materials and fixed-price project engagements.
  • Willingness to travel across the region.
