Description

  • Develop customer engagement strategies in partnership with Account Executive(s) in the assigned territory.
  • Act as an expert solution architect and trusted advisor for data analytics architecture, design, and platform adoption.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels across complex engagements involving the cloud ecosystem and third-party applications.
  • Coach junior Solutions Architects on use case prioritization and building technical champions.
  • Collaborate with customers and colleagues to create customized solutions that help achieve customer goals.
  • Contribute to Databricks' technical community by creating customer-facing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
  • Support complex technical pre-sales engagements and the sales lifecycle.
  • Partner with customers to navigate competitive situations and recommend technical solutions for specialized needs.
  • Develop relationships with decision-makers and C-level executives to drive long-term customer success.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of customer-facing technical experience.
  • Experience engaging in complex customer interactions and the sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
  • Ability to influence decision-makers and C-level executives by building relationships and coordinating teams.
  • Prior coding experience in a core programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Willingness to learn a base level of Spark.
  • Hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platforms.
  • Ability to provide technical solutions for specialized customer needs and navigate a competitive landscape.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% when needed.
  • Experience with technical specialization, industry vertical thought leadership, strategic customer vision, or people management is a potential development path.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $180,000 to $247,500 USD, depending on location and experience.
  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus.
