Description

  • Form successful relationships with clients across an assigned territory and collaborate with Account Executives and Senior Solutions Architects to deliver technical and business value.
  • Perform hands-on evaluations and Spark programming to demonstrate the Databricks platform and integrate solutions with major cloud ecosystems and 3rd-party applications.
  • Advise customers on Big Data Analytics architecture and design, shaping solution architecture and data engineering approaches.
  • Author reference architectures, how-to guides, and demo applications to support customer adoption and internal/external enablement.
  • Develop and deliver technical propositions, identify customer pain-points, and explain business value to build trusted advisor relationships.
  • Engage and build the Databricks technical community through workshops, seminars, meet-ups, and customer-facing events.
  • Progress technically and in pre-sales capabilities with the goal of operating independently as a Solutions Architect.

Requirements

  • Familiarity working directly with clients, creating narratives, answering customer questions, aligning agendas, and achieving tangible outcomes.
  • Ability to independently deliver a technical proposition and develop a trusted-advisor skillset by identifying customer pain-points and articulating business value.
  • Experience coding in a core programming language such as Python.
  • Experience with Spark programming and hands-on evaluations of data platforms.
  • Knowledgeable in a core Big Data Analytics domain with exposure to advanced proofs-of-concept.
  • Understanding of at least one major public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience or interest in solution architecture and data engineering, including diving deeper into architecture design and implementation.
  • Experience presenting at workshops, seminars, or meet-ups and supporting pre-sales activities (desired).
