Description

  • Hire and manage a team of technical pre-sales Solutions Architects focused on Lakebase.
  • Build a collaborative, customer-obsessed, team-first culture within a rapid-growth field engineering organization.
  • Support Lakebase business growth by helping the Solutions Architect team drive technical adoption and consumption.
  • Increase the return on investment of Solutions Architect involvement in sales cycles.
  • Create trust-based, long-term customer relationships and engage with complex strategic accounts.
  • Translate customer feedback, technical requirements, and competitive insights into field readiness and product evolution in partnership with Product and Engineering.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering teams to align account strategy and strengthen the Lakebase brand.
  • Coach and develop sales and pre-sales team members to improve execution and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Provide technical leadership in transactional database (OLTP) solutions and represent the business value of the Lakebase offering.
  • Report market and account trends that influence strategic direction and revenue potential.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of first-line or second-line leadership experience, with teams of 7+ people in first-line roles or 20+ people in second-line roles.
  • Relevant high-growth enterprise software pre-sales experience with senior-level tenure at a reputable software company.
  • Experience with transactional (OLTP) database technologies, ideally including data warehousing, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, or AI solutions.
  • Track record of driving executive engagement, large consumption, and high-growth customer outcomes.
  • Proven ability to influence, develop, and empower a team to achieve objectives.
  • Experience building strong ecosystems of strategic customer relationships and cross-functional partnerships across Sales, Engineering, Product, and Marketing.
  • Experience with complex strategic accounts generating $1M+ ARR.
  • Knowledge of data-driven decision-making, AI, cloud software models, operational data systems, and modern database architectures.
  • Ability to build and improve processes for technical field teams to increase efficiency and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Up to 30% travel at times.
