Description

  • Work on customer technical projects such as reference architectures, how-to guidance, and production-grade MVPs or greenfield builds.
  • Guide strategic customers through transformational big data projects and third-party migrations.
  • Lead end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
  • Consult on architecture and solution design for customer projects.
  • Bootstrap or implement strategic customer engagements to support adoption of Databricks.
  • Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
  • Collaborate with Databricks technical teams, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagements successfully.
  • Work with Engineering and Customer Support to share implementation feedback and help resolve product and support issues.
  • Complete billable projects to specification while delivering strong customer service.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, cloud-native systems, and data lakes in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
  • Comfortable writing code in Python or Scala.
  • Experience delivering technical projects and managing scope and timelines.
  • Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
  • Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
  • Ability to travel to customers 20–30% of the time.
  • Ability to build technical skills that support deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions.
  • Databricks certification is preferred.
