Description

  • Own and exceed revenue targets by winning new public sector customers in Western Canada.
  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies to prioritize and win high-potential public sector accounts.
  • Plan and drive expansion of Databricks usage within newly landed accounts.
  • Identify new AI and data use cases in government operations and share insights with public sector go-to-market and regional strategy teams.
  • Use a value-based sales approach to connect Databricks solutions to measurable public service and citizen outcomes.
  • Coordinate internal Databricks teams and external partners to execute sales motions and support customer outcomes.
  • Build executive relationships and navigate complex public sector stakeholder environments across multiple departments and approval layers.
  • Support implementation and expansion within strategic accounts by creating customer champions and aligning internal and external collaborators.
  • Develop and manage a partner strategy for the public sector, including SI, cloud, and consulting partners.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of SaaS, cloud, AI, or big data sales experience in the public sector.
  • Meaningful exposure to public sector accounts and a proven consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex public sector stakeholder ecosystems and build consensus across multiple departments and approval layers.
  • Deep understanding of Canadian public sector priorities, buying processes, buying cycles, decision-making structures, and partner ecosystems.
  • Extensive experience with Canadian government procurement, including budget formulation and execution, tender/RFP processes, evaluation criteria, and compliance/security frameworks.
  • Strong background in selling usage-based PaaS/SaaS or data, AI, and ML solutions, preferred.
  • Experience applying structured sales methodologies such as account planning, MEDDPICC, value selling, and Command of the Message.
  • Proven track record of building customer champions and leading collaborative internal and external teams in strategic accounts.
  • Clear understanding of how to build and manage a partner strategy for the public sector.
  • Experience working with SI, cloud, and consulting partners to win and deliver complex projects.
