Description

  • Work on customer technical projects that include designing and building reference architectures, creating how-to guidance, and productionalizing customer use cases.
  • Scope professional services engagements with engagement managers and customer input.
  • Guide strategic customers through transformational big data projects and third-party migrations from end to end.
  • Consult on solution architecture and design for customer projects.
  • Bootstrap or implement customer projects to support successful Databricks evaluation and adoption.
  • Provide escalated support for customer operational issues.
  • Coordinate with Databricks technical teams, project managers, architects, and customer teams to deliver engagement milestones.
  • Work with Engineering and Customer Support to share product feedback and resolve engagement-specific issues.
  • Deliver technical projects according to specification while maintaining strong customer service.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in data engineering, data platforms, and analytics.
  • Ability to write code in Python or Scala.
  • Working knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with expertise in at least one.
  • Deep experience with Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
  • Working knowledge of MLOps.
  • Experience designing and deploying performant end-to-end data architectures.
  • Experience delivering technical projects while managing scope and timelines.
  • Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
  • Experience working with clients and managing conflicts.
  • Willingness to travel to customers 10% of the time.
  • Databricks Certification is preferred but not required.
