Description

  • Identify and vet specialty physicians across all specialties, including orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, and PM&R specialists.
  • Ensure full state coverage in California by building and maintaining physician network capacity.
  • Use strategic sourcing and physician recruitment methods to fill network gaps.
  • Conduct outreach, including cold-calling and pitching, to engage high-level medical specialists.
  • Collaborate within healthcare and/or insurance-related recruiting or provider relations workflows.
  • Analyze network gaps and doctor fee trends using computer platforms and data.
  • Manage physician recruitment activities efficiently and meet specific deadlines.
  • Maintain communication with physicians and internal stakeholders through clear verbal and written communication.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in physician recruitment, specifically in the IME, Workers’ Comp, or medicolegal space.
  • 2-5 years of experience in healthcare recruitment, provider relations, or medical-legal services.
  • Physician recruitment experience in a healthcare or insurance setting, or equivalent transferable experience.
  • Business experience in a healthcare and/or insurance setting preferred.
  • Working knowledge of physician networks, recruitment, medical specialties, and medical terminology.
  • Strong negotiation, critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Computer literacy and typing skills required.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including cold-calling and pitching to medical specialists.
  • Familiarity with California Workers’ Comp processes, including the DWC, QME/AME process, and the Medical-Legal Fee Schedule.
  • Ability to maintain uninterrupted internet service and supply own internet connection for work-from-home duties.
