Description

  • Facilitate two live, one-hour sessions each week for 15 weeks, including didactic review and exam preparation.
  • Prepare independently for live sessions, including up to 4 additional hours of weekly preparation.
  • Develop and update lecture decks as needed.
  • Review key curriculum concepts during Weeks 1-13 and create space for student questions and answers.
  • Support course announcements and housekeeping at the start and end of sessions when needed.
  • Use interactive learning tools such as Kahoot to make sessions more engaging.
  • Provide additional office hours during the two exam study weeks if requested.
  • Respond to student questions through Course Advisors by email within the required SLA.
  • Monitor Canvas discussion boards for weekly student posts and questions.
  • Grade assignments on a weekly basis when required.
  • Collaborate with the Learning Experience team and Instructional Designers to adjust session content as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a CCMA or CMA in a clinical setting.
  • Experience training clinical medical assistants online.
  • 5-10 years of total professional experience, minimum.
  • Experience using online teaching tools such as Canvas and Zoom.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills for large audiences.
  • Strong student empathy and excellent communication skills.
  • Must live and work in the United States.
  • Experience with CCMA-aligned education or medical assisting curriculum best practices (preferred).
