Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain GraphQL APIs optimized for performance, scalability, and flexibility.
  • Define and evolve GraphQL schemas, resolvers, and data models for complex querying across distributed systems.
  • Own GraphQL API decisions around schema governance, breaking changes, backwards compatibility, versioning, documentation, and best practices.
  • Integrate multiple backend services and APIs under a unified GraphQL layer.
  • Collaborate with frontend and client teams to ensure GraphQL API usability and performance.
  • Build scalable backend services using C# .NET and apply clean architecture principles.
  • Deploy and operate distributed applications on Microsoft Azure.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, security, observability, and reliability of cloud-based services.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize system performance.
  • Support event-driven workflows when needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and building GraphQL APIs in production.
  • Experience with GraphQL schema design and evolution.
  • Experience implementing resolvers and optimizing performance, including N+1 handling, batching, and caching.
  • Strong proficiency in C# .NET and familiarity with the .NET ecosystem.
  • Solid experience deploying and managing distributed systems on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
  • Experience with Kafka or event-driven architectures is a plus, with Confluent Kafka preferred.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Exposure to high-throughput or real-time systems is a plus.
  • Experience with observability tools such as App Insights or Azure Monitor is a plus.
