Description

  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings and prepare accurate material take-offs and quantity estimates.
  • Quantify steel framing, structural members, cladding, roofing, and fixings while identifying discrepancies, missing details, or scope gaps.
  • Create detailed light gauge and cold-formed steel framing layouts, shop drawings, schedules, cutting lists, and connection details.
  • Revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and other stakeholders to ensure outputs are buildable and aligned with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to review quotations for items such as doors, windows, cladding, and roofing.
  • Validate supplier quotes against drawings, specifications, and quantities, and prepare comparison summaries for internal evaluation.
  • Input quantities into estimating and pricing templates, maintaining formula accuracy, cost inputs, and version control.
  • Support project documentation and consent coordination, including checklists, RFIs, and submission packages.
  • Communicate with engineers, suppliers, and internal teams to raise technical queries and resolve issues.
  • Update CRM systems and maintain accurate project records, supplier responses, and progress updates.

Requirements

  • Experience in steel detailing, structural drafting, or construction estimating.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Experience with material take-offs or quantity surveying.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, validation, and templates.
  • Experience with CAD/BIM or steel detailing software.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Good written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely with international teams.
  • Experience in steel buildings, sheds, warehouses, or industrial structures is highly desirable.
  • Background in light gauge or cold-formed steel systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla, FrameCAD, or similar is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with supplier quote comparisons and construction workflows is highly desirable.
  • Experience with CRM or project/document management systems is highly desirable.
  • A degree or diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Drafting, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience in steel construction, detailing, or estimating.

Benefits

  • Salary up to Php 90,000, with final offer dependent on the candidate’s skills and experience.
  • 100% remote work arrangement under an Independent Contractor Agreement.
  • Working hours aligned to Monday to Friday, 10am–7pm NZDT / 6am–3pm Philippine Standard Time.
  • New Zealand public holidays observed.
  • Opportunity to work with an international construction company on steel-framed building projects.
