Description

  • Provide patient care while serving as the primary point of contact for a team of approximately 12-15 clinicians.
  • Lead onboarding and comprehensive clinical training for new hires.
  • Participate in daily huddles and meetings to communicate operational updates, policy changes, and performance expectations.
  • Manage team performance through coaching, accountability, corrective action, and ongoing evaluation of care.
  • Work with Operations to develop clinician schedules, manage time off requests, and support recruitment and onboarding.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for urgent clinical escalations outside standard business hours.
  • Take 1 in 5 clinical call on a weekly basis to support the queue during volume issues or licensing gaps.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical services, including updating clinical processes and ongoing clinician training.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer to implement strategic goals.
  • Provide leadership support as needed during nights, weekends, and holidays when clinicians are on shift.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree required.
  • 7+ years of clinical practice experience as an MD or DO.
  • 2+ years of prior clinical supervisory or people leadership experience required.
  • Ability to work the overnight shift required.
  • Active licenses in a minimum of 7 states required, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
  • Ability to participate in limited required business travel.
  • Ability to attend clinician meetings at times when clinicians are working.
  • Prior experience in change management is preferred.
  • Experience developing or contributing to clinical protocols is preferred.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems is preferred.
  • Strong communication, clinical judgment, patient engagement, organizational, and time management skills preferred.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and collaborative mindset preferred.
  • Adaptability to evolving technology, including AI-driven tools and digital platforms, is preferred.
