Description

  • Own the end-to-end QA testing lifecycle across web, API, and mobile platforms.
  • Define scalable QA frameworks, automation strategies, and release validation standards for a weekly deployment cadence.
  • Drive shift-left quality practices by integrating testing early in the software development lifecycle.
  • Maintain and improve functional, regression, and performance/load testing coverage using tools such as Playwright, Postman, and JMeter.
  • Lead, coach, and develop QA engineers while fostering a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Influence quality practices across engineering teams and act as the internal advocate for QA best practices.
  • Create reusable automation agents and champion AI-assisted testing approaches.
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and support release validation, including occasional after-hours deployments.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and DevOps to embed QA into Agile delivery workflows.
  • Define and track quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and release reliability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Testing, including at least 2+ years in a lead or senior individual contributor role.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright for web and API end-to-end automation.
  • Strong automation fundamentals with Cypress, Selenium, or comparable frameworks and the ability to build scalable test suites.
  • Working proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or Java.
  • Solid experience with functional, regression, and performance/load testing using Postman, JMeter, or equivalent tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with SDLC and Agile practices, including defect lifecycle management in Jira and TestRail.
  • Ability to work independently under a steady release cadence and manage competing priorities without close supervision.
  • E-commerce QA automation experience in fast-moving CI/CD environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with BrowserStack, Appium, Gatling, Argo CD, Grafana, or GCP-based infrastructure is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Apple Pay automation or similar payment flow testing is preferred.
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted testing tools and validating or correcting AI-generated test code is preferred.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder alignment skills, including the ability to influence without authority is preferred.
