Description

  • Lead the development and delivery of FP&A services for private equity portfolio companies.
  • Serve clients within the Office of the CFO by creating diagnostic frameworks and improving finance function effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain relationships with portfolio company representatives and private equity sponsors.
  • Scope, staff, and oversee end-to-end FP&A engagements, including client communication and quality control.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership across engagements involving forecasting, budgeting, cash flow, liquidity, performance reporting, KPI frameworks, interim FP&A support, and finance diagnostics.
  • Develop repeatable delivery playbooks, templates, tools, and methodologies to scale the practice.
  • Identify new growth opportunities and shared revenue opportunities to expand the FP&A capability offering.
  • Track industry developments and emerging trends, and assess their impact on clients.
  • Contribute to firm-approved AI-enabled solutions and help identify compliant opportunities to improve client solutions and internal processes.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor junior team members while serving as a liaison to practice leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of senior FP&A and/or consulting experience.
  • Significant exposure to middle-market private equity-owned businesses.
  • Understanding of the relationship between private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies.
  • Experience building, mentoring, and setting standards for high-performing FP&A teams.
  • Diverse industry experience, potentially including manufacturing, SaaS, healthcare, and business services.
  • Strong understanding of cash flow dynamics, debt structures, covenant reporting, value creation plans, and exit and diligence processes.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills with practical, decision-focused judgment.
  • Knowledge of best practices for optimizing finance functions.
  • Experience with leading ERP and EPM platforms used in the Office of the CFO.
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL, and Python.
  • Ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to improve productivity and innovation.
  • Open to learning and applying emerging technologies, including AI and automation, in line with firm policies and client standards.
  • Proven ability to generate leads from a network outside of existing client work.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and helping project teams resolve complex issues.
