Description

  • Lead data, AI, and technology strategy engagements for CFOs and CIOs, including roadmaps, governance, controls, and high-value AI use cases.
  • Serve as Solution Architect for secure, scalable cloud data foundations supporting finance reporting, EPM, analytics, AI, and system integrations.
  • Lead end-to-end data ingestion, storage, transformation, semantic modeling, and pipeline optimization across platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Design finance data architectures integrating ERP and EPM platforms to support close, consolidation, planning, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Architect and deliver AI platforms, agentic solutions, and finance and operations AI use cases with appropriate data readiness, governance, and controls.
  • Assess data maturity and build pragmatic data foundations for mid-market, private equity-backed portfolio companies.
  • Conduct client interviews, document business requirements, and perform current-state and future-state process gap analyses.
  • Manage client engagements, including work plans, staffing, timelines, fees, budgets, risks, and stakeholder communications.
  • Lead business development, expand client relationships, develop service offerings, and contribute to go-to-market strategy.
  • Manage, mentor, coach, and evaluate team members while resolving project issues and conflicts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Deep hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud data environments using Snowflake, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience with data ingestion and integration, lakehouse and warehouse architecture, data modeling, and data architecture modernization.
  • Experience building semantic layers, governed metrics, business definitions, and finance data models; familiarity with dbt Semantic Layer, Snowflake semantic views, Databricks metric views, or Fabric semantic models.
  • Proven experience partnering with CFOs and CIOs on finance analytics, AI platforms, and ERP/EPM integrations.
  • Experience with AI-ready data models, metadata management, data catalogs, lineage, data quality, observability, unstructured data processing, vector search, RAG pipelines, and AI governance.
  • Private equity experience working with CFOs and CIOs at mid-market, PE-backed portfolio companies is required.
  • Understanding of finance processes including Lead to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, and Hire to Retire.
  • Strong executive-level presentation, communication, client relationship, business development, and team leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Lean, or Waterfall methodologies; familiarity with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%, depending on client needs.
